The Festival of Flowers Blooms and Other News Around Orm

Another fortnite has passed in Ur-Dan. Along the Cerulean Sea, where the Gloaming Hills meets Sourwood Marsh, here is what folks are talking about:

The drunken brownies and sprites above the Drinking Crow have brought word has traveled all the way from the Twilight Shores: the Margrave Quinius (Guardian of the the Friscalating Fens) has vanished on a recent hunt. The head of the elfin court, Her Majesty Blackmarsh, fears it is the return of the Oloth El'gg Ssusson.

Meanwhile, back in the Realm of Mortals, the tragedy that befell Eq'Thyll has the settlements along the Bay of Favul at unease. All the showmanship of Sir Yann Sharp's borderland skirmishes has led to little headway into dealing with the mystery of Eq'Thyll. On top of that, an increase of raiding activity which included a ship from the Holy Empire-That-Is with goods for the Festival of Flowers, along the Cerulean Sea has done little to improve the people's opinion of Sharp's current campaign.

Services were held for recently deceased adventurers based out of both the Drinking Crow and the Burning Witch this last fortnite. Byndle has buried in a plot next to his brother Bindle while hireling Kay Em Dee had a service made up mostly of the handful of the surviving members of the Burning Witches pre-adventurer bar scene. Cleric Bjorn Firebeard was buried with his hedgehog holy symbol marking his grave. Common adventuring companionto Bjorn, Elvira Wylde of Odellwood Abbey,was put to eternal rest next to her ward, Genevieve.

The Midnight Marauders have been investing the reconstruction of an old fortification on the edges of Orm-of-Old. While there resident magic-user is off partaking in magical studies, the rest of the group have been seen drilling new recruits and collecting intelligence on "The Complex". Related to both goals, Marauder lieutenant Aladee Nightthistle has been seen courting the services of former dungeon denizen Sooz-awn.

The Festival of Flowers 

The Festival of Flowers is here to initiate the summer season in Ur-Dan. Livestock are been blessed ceremonially with fire and released to roam the streets of Orm. The people are ceremonially pelted with legumes and flowers. The songs of the Brothers of the Fields echo through Orm as they secretly perform their rituals to cthonic powers. form their sacred grove. The prostitutes of Orm dance naked in the streets and perform mock combats. The night is filled with light, guiding folks to the theater performances that are the hallmark of the Festival.

Those looking to partake in the Festival of Flowers must spend use one downtime segment and at least 50gp on a brightly colored outfit and theater tickets. For each 100gp (up to 500gp) spent on the Festivial downtime grants a +1 to a roll on the following table:

5.	You were hit by a thrown flower in the ceremonial pelting granting you good luck. Reroll your next critical failure on an attack roll or saving throw.
6.	You didn’t miss a single play. Gain 100xp.
7.	You partook in the traditional betting over the mock combats that happen in the streets of Orm during the Festival. Earn the gp spend for the festival x 1d4gp in winnings.
8.	You participated in a ceremonial role in the Festival. Gain 150xp
9.	You were anointed with the ashes of the sacred fires. During your next session, you may find secret doors as if you were an elf (2-in-6 chance). If you are an elf, your ability for the next session is elevated to a 3-in-6 chance.
10.	You gained the blessing of this year’s Lady of Flower’s herself. Gain 200xp and you may reroll your next failed saving throw.
