Back in the beginning of summer we unleashed
Lenny Kravitzs' first single
Stand' off his then upcoming album "Black and White America" which has finally seen the light of day. In true Lenny fashion, the record is a little bit soul, a little bit funk, and whole lotta rock 'n' roll. He spent two years in the Bahamas and in Paris, France recording a stellar production that once again solidifies and truly harmonizes the concept of the album's title, "Black and White America."
Bridging different genre's in musique, and defying the usual caged expectancy's that most artist's face, Lenny showcases that the differences in races and culture should gel together and never divide. Strumming all the instruments himself when recording his musique, Lenny's funk-rock-pop-hiphop-retro sounds, mesh perfectly with his positive lyrical messages, allowing the album to shine boldly.
A constant staple of Lenny's within all his previous records, "Black and White America" gives you the feeling that love and perseverance always prevails. As I always say, there are fans and then there are casual listeners. This one is for the true musique lovers.
