“Living for the Night” is the debut single from George Strait’s upcoming album entitled Twang to be released early fall. Strait co-wrote the new song with his son George Strait, Jr. and Dean Dillon. With beautiful guitar leads and steel guitar moans and a beautiful acoustic bridge, it's the perfect background behind George’s vocal about the loss of someone that he loved. Perhaps a song written about his daughter Jennifer whom he lost to a car accident many years ago? Pehaps.
“Living for the Night” was made available to radio stations across the country on Thursday, May 28. You can listen to the new single HERE.
Strait was recently named the ACM Artist of the Decade for the 2000s, joining only four other artists who have received this distinction: Marty Robbins for the 1960s, Loretta Lynn for the 1970s, Alabama for the 1980s and Garth Brooks for the 1990s.
